Josh(Lead Tech)

Big Red Snapper, red snapper season 2023

Meet Josh, a passionate angler with a lifelong love of fishing. Born and raised in the beautiful expanses of upstate New York, Josh found his calling amidst the tranquil creeks, streams, and reservoirs of the Adirondack Mountains. From a young age, his every spare moment was dedicated to casting a line, fostering a passion that grew only stronger as the years passed.

Wanting to deepen his understanding of aquatic ecosystems and fish behavior, Josh decided to turn his passion into his profession. He attended the State University of New York’s College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF), studying fisheries biology. This academic venture only enhanced his love for the sport, equipping him with a scientific understanding that deepened his connection with the water and the species swimming beneath the surface.

In his early twenties, a significant move took him from the familiar landscapes of New York to the sun-drenched coastlines of Florida. This transition opened up a whole new world of fishing opportunities. The thrill of saltwater fishing immediately hooked him, adding a new chapter to his angling journey. From inshore flats fishing to the adrenaline-filled pursuits in the deep ocean, Josh embraced the vast diversity of the marine fishing world.

Having fished in environments ranging from tiny mountaintop creeks to the vast open ocean, Josh possesses a versatile fishing experience that few can claim. He’s as comfortable casting for brook trout in a babbling brook as he is battling a marlin on the high seas.

Josh now aims to share his wealth of knowledge and experiences with fellow anglers. His love for the sport, backed by his scientific education and hands-on experiences, makes him a credible and reliable source of information. Whether you’re an aspiring angler or an experienced one looking to expand your horizons, Josh is eager to share his insights, fostering a deeper appreciation for this timeless sport and helping you to elevate your fishing skills.
